rethinking Her Magazine with the TH

A new distribution model is finding new readers for Her Magazine & the Telegraph Herald



next level began work with a team at the Telegraph Herald in August 2018. The goal; move Her from an inserted publication in the Telegraph Herald to a standalone Magazine and brand, direct mailed to readers. The team included leaders from advertising, editorial, marketing, and I.T.

"Eric provided great leadership and an innovative approach to this project.  Helping us define our goals, assisting with surveys, conducting consumer focus groups; he was with us every step of the way.  He met with our team on a regular basis, pushed us out of our comfort zone, challenged our thought process, and kept us us focused.  As we launched the first phase of this initiative, Eric has encouraged us to ask ourselves "what's next and where can we take this?"  We are excited about what the future holds for Her Magazine!"

We provided project management support including facilitation of regular sessions that helped the team think, set strategy and stick to the desired timeline.


The team identified and met goals including engaging the desired number of describers, meeting new and existing subscriber ratio benchmarks, meeting subscriber demographic, and income targets, and engaging existing and new advertisers.

In January 2019, Her Magazine will begin to be direct-mailed to subscribers, just 5 months after launching the project. A whopping 41% of subscribers are new readers.
